Hi All, Ive ran a report on my site it says I have 0 links on google but I know Ive registered my site with more sites, when I hear links does this mean reciprocal or one way? Thanks Ben
Did you check with the link: keyword ? This shows only a part of your links. You can check your backlinks in the google webmaster tool
just checked webmaster tools I have no links in google but my site is visible in google? Not sure if I get it?
webmaster tools does show a lot more links, but it seems takes a long while before they appear there.
Really weird Ive registered my site with many directory sites over the years? What part of webmasters tool should I be looking under again maybe Im looking in the wrong place? Also is there a way just to increase google links? thanks
Bennyboy: using the link: yoururl.com method will not show all of your results. There are many websites online to check your backlinks. None of them will have all of your true backlinks. But, a lot of them can give you a general idea. Like people have said, use https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ for a better idea of how many backlinks google sees (remember, this isn't everything google sees) Also, another great tool I just found is: http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ If all you're doing is submitting to directories, then you need to diversify your efforts.
Thanks Breakaway11, couldnt get seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ to work I will try again later. What else do you suggest to diversify my efforts? Thanks Ben
Diversify...have you tried submitting content to the article directories? I'm thinking Ezine Articles, and ArticleDashboard - as well as the many other directories out there. When Google says links, I believe it means all types of links; reciprocal and one way. I've noticed that Google won't show new links I've gained until it's crawled my site. Hope that helps, Fredi.
i had they same fault , you just haveto keep building link and google see that your getting them kinda werid
You need to build some quality backlinks you should consider doing some article submissions, blog postings, and directory submissions.
