google links

    Hi All,

    I have 1 site with good ranking. But when I saw its links in google at link:www.abc.com it shows only 4 links & in webmaster it show upto 5 lakhs links.

    So anybody tell me what is the reason.

    Google only shows the important links and ignore others.

    Use Yahoo for that, you will get a more real picture.

    Google show only several of all under link:
    mine was 8 under link: but hundreds in the GWT .

    Link: operator show a very small sample of your site links where GWMTs show a larger sample of the links.

    You can use Yahoo site explorer which will show more links that points to your site. Using GWMTs to check BLs is also ok, but I will suggest to not link: operator as it will only show very few links.

    maybe those links has very quality points given to your site and that makes you rank good.

    Anyone know the yahoo site explorer difference in link reporting using these 2 result addresses:

    https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&p=http://forums.digitalpoint.com &bwm=i&bwmf=s

    One says 800,000+ for digital point forums. While the other says 1,200,000+ links for digital point forums. Same with some of my sites I check. The second method generally tells me many more links than the first.

    I also confused before why google show so litle backlink.Actually google does not show all backlink. I got one website that is www.backlinkwatcher.com that show your all backlink with anchor text.

    I've explained this in another thread but I'm glad to help anyone who needs it. Use a tool by Softnik Technologies called Good Keywords to see what type of links you have and use backlinkwatch.com to see the specific backlink url's.

    Hi,

    Google read those links which one are read by the google not the all over site if you work on those link then it will be show more easily and quickly

    and the most important thing

    That you have to work quality work in your site.
