    Hello guys

    I have a few questions

Siteexplorer says that i have 600 backlinks but google search of the term link:site.com tells me that i have no links

    All links were recently build?

Will all that links have effect at yahoo?

    regards

Also google is very slow at indexing my pages

For google, your most accurate reflection will be from Webmaster Tools. Doing it from google search only shows a sampling of what they've seen. And in your case, isn't showing any.

like lelopaul said, webmaster tools shows all links. Yahoo show a lot of links when using site explorer. If all of the links are relatively new google will not display them. It usually takes time with google

I think the best way to check your google links and indexing is through Google webmaster central/webmaster tools...You need to enlist your site like in yahoo site explorer too..In that way you can checked the authenticity of your backlinks in google

link:domain operator in google shows only the quality dofollow links for your site. whereas, link:domain operator in yahoo shows all the dofollow and nofollow links.

Google takes long time to add them as backlinks.

Unfortunately i do not have a technical background so you may as well be speaking greek to me. i was hoping they would update their cache at least once a month but the last time they updated my site was 8 December when it was still under construction.

So now it still has the stinking domain registry marketing drivel on it.

    Over four weeks later.

    Hence my frustration.

    Thanks a lot guys

Google seems to be very slow at indexing-crawling new sites

Instead it sticks on the other old sites for everyday crawls
