Ive hard a rumor that if you link to Google from your homepage Google will like your site better.

Any truth to this?

First of all its really "heard" to believe what you are saying... lol !!!!!!

No it is not, Google also gives more preferences to the sites which are completely not applying any Google techniques.

i dont think that helps, but many sites do link to google , and i have heard it somewhere that google demands respect
