There is nothing you can do to force it.

You can opt for new option in which you can filter results of sites you do not want.

It happens naturally, at least it did for my site. I guess if you don't have a meta description in the coding, your menu items would be listed in replacement.

I have this problem where google didn't index my main site, but indexed my shopping cart site. The funny thing is while I submitted my main site a couple of times, I never submitted my shopping cart yet it is showing up on many searches! Google is weird...

You don't need to submit your site to search engines, it happens by itself. It Googlebot visits your site, then you'll get indexed.

Then why didn't my main site get indexed yet? (Sorry if this is a noobish question)

Obviously there no way to force Google to do anything. I simply meant, could I have written my HTML in such a way that it is not conducive to having my menus recognised as being menu items by Google. Conversely, is there anything one can do to increase the liklihood that Google will see my menu and list it as menu items?

Is your site new? Sometimes it takes long, a few months, for it to get indexed properly.

Well I officially submitted my site to Google for the first time on August 23rd of this year. I guess my sites lack of links is the reason that it is taking so long to index... but hopefully I will be indexed soon.
