In google web master tool I can see around 18 site linking to my site but when in google i check for back link like link:www.SubmitSeoArticles.com it returns no result so question by when google starts showing those links are back link?
Google webmaster tools does always give more accurate information on links and sometime the links which are shown via webmaster tools may not show via link: search operator at all. It was Google intention to not show all links preventing webmaster to observe link pattern too much. If you have to choose only one, go with Google Webmaster tools is much better.
Do you mean that link: operator is an outdated one and doesn't give accurate result? but on google search operator page they are still showing it as a operator to check the sites which links back to your domain?
Sxperm means that: 1.) The index of backlinks for most sites is rarely updated 2.) Google does not show you every backlink they are aware of, as they don't want to give too much away about their algorithm
thanks mate for clearing the doubt I also read the same on google web master FAQ that link operator is not so relevant as of now.
I'm sure you know this, but you can get a more up to date picture from Yahoo. siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com
