link: (space)url will give you the right result. proof: check link: (space)url link result and match that with webmaster tool link result. will be pretty much the same or very close. while checking link:url without space will be way off
The proper way to use the command is linkno space)url, but as sultanofseo stated this only shows a portion of your backlinks.
