Look at this screenshot. I seriously thought I was rich there. Having second thoughts about google. I also noticed plenty of inaccuracies with Google Finance. Yahoo Finance is way better anyways, no idea why I even went to Google.
i'm sorry but the tone of the first posts wasnt to start a discussion over the inaccuracies of either yahoo or google financial sites, but to simply piss off google fanboys. those statements scream out TROLL to me
Justin, get the sand out of your ass crack, he made a very salient point about his user experience with Google.
Does the word "BETA" posted under the Google Finance mean much anymore? beta means they assume there will be bugs, and you use at your own peril.
Beta testing yeah it has lost the value of that word. An error like that should have been caught during alpha testing. And when I said that Yahoo! Finance is better than Google Finance I meant it, its not a joke to piss off fans of a web based application. Yahoo! Finance has better way more customizable charts (cdl, linear vs logarithmic, 1y, 2y, 3m, etc..), a message board for every stock (not to be relied upon for investment advice though), Company events, better news coverage, more accurate real-time ECN quotes, real-time ECN quotes for an entire customizable portfolio, historical prices, analyst coverage, income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, research reports, major holder info, stock price alerts... The list goes on and on.
Yahoo! Finance isn't in beta...Of course it is more refined and has more options...that is what a full blown product is... Regardless of whether or not "beta" has lost value as a word doesn't mean you can just disregard it then get mad when in fact there are "beta" type bugs...I have a few stocks I own...one doesn't show up at all in google...because it is in beta.
It's so funny when people post their opinion it's instantly considered "trolling". Isn't a forum a place where you can sound off and express your ideas? I've tried Google finance and I've found a few problems here and there but I'm cutting them some slack since it's in their BETA stages.
Yeah i agree forums are places where people can share their experiences, perhaps the tone could have been a bit better but would you be pissed off too if that happened? Must have been crushing to say the least. For the record, I am a google user, so not bashing google just saying that this guys experience (in contrast with the many satisfied users) was a lowsy one.
I went back to Google Finance to compare you guy's responses with the site. Here's another crazy thing. http://finance.google.com/finance?q=cryp&btnG=Search&hl=en Under the news section for Cryptologic they have a bogus news story about a bunch of employees including the CEO wanted all for a $5,000,000 reward. I'm sure because of the great name and reputation that Google has behind it that a certain population of people checking that site out will believe that news story. This is probably what's been manipulating the stock price. That gamblingmagazine.com site is not to be trusted though. There isn't even an author for the article. Those people are the same creaters of cryptologicsucks.com cryptologiccrimes.com and cryptologicmafia.com and tons more.
The bigger and more popular something gets, the more people will take advantage of it. Why do you think that lady sued McDonalds when she spilled coffee on herself? They were big and had money...
