Google is launching a music service. Will Google give it good ranks, like YouTube, in their search engine or will it have to abide by the same rules the rest of us have to follow? I think those with music sites (like lyrics) may want to watch this closely.
In answer to your question. "What do you think?" And further to make you think about it> Chris Yerga, an engineering director, at the conference. > "We wanted to service the power of Google to surface music we know you are going to love," he said
From what I understand, it is to compete with the likes of spotify. They just want another platform to serve ads. A lot of people can listen to music at work. I use spotify and occasionally the ads do interest me and I click to find out more. Google just wants some of this action.
Is there anywhere Google are not seeking to dominate? It's like a combination of two songs > It's the "Eye of the Tiger" Winning the fight and "Tiger Tiger Tiger" I'll always find you I am the tiger > Sorry couldn't resist getting that pic in again... They will be taking over Florists, electricity/utilities (already planned) and property/real estate next.
Well, there are lots of platforms to listen to music on internet, but I think that Google would provide better service..
google will make services that they think would give them revenues and well dominating WWW is one of their long term goal (i guess)
