The +1 button makes it easy for visitors to recommend your pages to friends and contacts exactly when their advice is most useful -- on Google search. As a result, you could get more and better qualified site traffic. You'll need to add a small snippet of code on the pages where you want a +1 button to appear. Ready to get started? and to put it on your blog like me open http://www.google.com/webmasters/+1/button/index.html and add it to your blog
It seems like it might be quite the innovation, but I'll wait to see if anyone actually uses it before implementing it myself.
looks like a nice innovation by google that will allow users to get good traffic via backlinks on peoples profiles
I like the idea, though I doubt it will have any direct effect on websites. I just implemented it on one of my sites.
it's really to bad all the people are being such sheep and blindly installing the Javascript necessary to enable the +1 on their site giving google that much more control over you. People should demand a normal regular hypertext link! Mark my words....just wait until they start banning/lowering sites from/in the search index because of false +1 clicks. Read the policy for adding the button for goodness sake! There is no reason why they would need to make this a javascript tag only. In their policy for the button it says you are giving them permission to use some other sort of software on your site! http://www.google.com/webmasters/+1/button/policy.html last paragraph read it! And last but not least, demand a normal hypertext clickable link!
Has anyone confirmed that the plus 1 button has actually affected SEO or how your site shows up on search queries? Google said that this would eventually start to affect results.
In other words, has anyone noticed a drop or increase in the past few days in search query results due to the new +1 button?
I also have got the notice on my Adsense account but whenever I am clicking on the button it is not working and showing a page with 404 error.
Yeah I think I am going to hold off and wait to see if this really amounts to anything. No reason to go adding code if it doesent end up catching on. I'll stick to Twitter for now.
Hopfully the +1 ranking scheme will sort out plenty of SERPs, it is hoped that folks will concentrate on creating more user oriented pages than simply trying to get to the top
seems to be just the same concept as the like button on fb. unless it seriously affects ranking its pretty pointless as far as im concerned.
