Google Formally launched yesterday its path breaking technology "knowledge graph". Whats in it? The new technology will be used to provide facts about people, places and things alongside Google's traditional result. The new move was announced after bing integrated social media in its search engine few weeks ago. Note: The new technology will be available to US users in the coming days. So what do you think friends?
Wow google is really trying to be jack of all trades. They are even attacking WIKIPEDIA in some ways now.. They are so greedy
Thanks for the info... Going to look a little further into this and see how it can benefit us as webmasters. Thanks again! JB
I heard about this on the radio, seems interesting... But how will it effect search engine ranks? I'm also tired of google trying to own the world. My 2 cents
Didn't they try this before? What makes wikipedia so powerful is the collection of experts in so many areas. I know google has a lot of people but I doubt they are experts in everything. Also where are they going to get the content and information from? Are they going to copy it from other websites and call it their own? Isn't that what they penalize others for?
Good point, nothing can be wikipedia But i submit to you this: If google adopts the same open source concept, WIKIPEDIA better watch out !
Sadly, it is not a copy paste for them. But whatever the controversy it brings on- i feel the the technology is awesome. It will reduce our search duration and be able to get answers instantly.
