A group in Baltimore launched a website that used Google's mapping service to plot the location of more than 1,000 residents and give their reasons for wanting the service. Hundreds of groups on Facebook implored Google to come to their cities. The $70 per month will pay for "gigabit" Internet service, about 100 times faster than a basic cable modem. For another $50 per month, Google will provide cable-TV-like service over the fiber, too.
what appliances needed to have this facility and what specific service does Google offer to the customer?
Really hope this Google Internet catches on and is throughout north america within a year. Cheap and fast. Cant go wrong.
Could you please give more details? I have no idea regarding what you are talking about. Google is providing cable TV service? Hearing for the first time.
Yes they are offering TV too, $70 per month for internet, even free 5 Mbps internet. Google should make quite a bit of money from this, assuming people will switch over to them. Hopefully it will force some change in the rather poor US internet carrier market.
I pay for my 100mbit connection 15$/month and there offer is 70$/month for 1 Gbit, it's a super offer. Hope they will make it available world wide.
