    HI GUYS,

Latest news : Google can now index textual content in SWF :eek:files of all kinds. This includes Flash "gadgets" such as buttons or menus, self-contained Flash websites, and everything in between. But GOOGLE has some LIMITATIONS

Note that Google does not index FLV files, such as the videos that play on YouTube, because these files contain no text elements. also the JAVASCRIPT problem hasn't been solved and much more needs to be done,,,,,,,,,,,

THE ALGORITHM was improved by the Adobe's new Searchable SWF library.
LIMITATIONS: Googlebot does not execute some types of JavaScript:(

Google has integrated Adobe's Flash Player technology. With the launch of this technology (Flash indexing algorithm), web designers can expect improved visibility of their published Flash content, and you can expect to see better search results and snippets.:D more get on with the signature links

Its Adobe technology that have improved the performance of this Flash indexing algorithm by integrating Adobe's Flash Player technology.

Both Google and Yahoo have started applying the tech :)

    LIMITATIONS for GOOGLE

    > Googlebot does not execute some types of JavaScript
    > Google does not index FLV files, such as the videos that play on YouTube
    > non-textual content, such as images WON'T be indexed
    > if your web page loads a Flash file via JavaScript won't be indexed
    > currently there are difficulties with Flash content written in bidirectional languages

So more needs to work on but its started,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Good news but I don't imagine that Google will weight flash content very heavily.

I still not recommend to use flash animations on their site, as long as its not 100% readable by robots.

Using the SWFObject method for flash implementation is still THE best method for getting flash content indexed and ranked within the search engines. I have used it DOZENS of times with tremendous success. Flash does not have to be avoided when using this method.

Flash is *starting* to be indexed by search engines and while at first this meant the text had to be embedded directly in the Flash movie, they have now announced that they can crawl externally referenced source files (such as XML, html, etc..).
