Google Knoll is crud! I hope they burn! I mean I submitted an article with 3 links and it is still alive. Yesterday I submitted the same style article with only 2 simple text links and it was flagged and taken down!

And no it did not violate the terms of service! It was a nice article about the Infiniti G37. Anyways what a waste of my time. They are way too **** retentive! Plus I could not find any literature on their site pertaining to links.

So Whatever I'm so over it? Anyone else share my disgust?

I am not surprised that they take this hostile attitude. They are trying to compete with the likes of Squidoo and Wikipedia and therefore need some sort of strategy by which to differentiate themselves. If you are only looking to create permanent content pages for the purposes of SEO, I would recommend that you stick with Squidoo, which does extremely well on Google, is great fun to use and has proven benefits in search engine optimization, as long as the lenses are made by someone who knows what they're doing.

I personally do not co-operate with intolerant agendas, particularly with so much choice out there. You should also consider HubPages, although I have never tried it. It certainly looks much more drab than Squidoo, and I don't know whether it is as beneficial (or even more beneficial) in search engine optimization. The drabness might be a plus if it translates to a higher content-to-code ratio.

What the folks at Google need to figure out is that if we are going to produce content for them, we want something in return -- it's really that simple.

Google, unlike wikipedia will actually reward those authors of an entry by allowing them to share in the ad dollars brought in by all of their knol entries. This will provide incentive for experts in each field of work to share their knowledge with the internet community, and more then likely tear them away from wikipedia. Why would they spend hours sharing information on wikipedia when they can spend the time creating knol entries, and earning residual revenue for their work? The answer is, simply they won't.
