Hi guys I want to discuss you about Google knol. As I know we can submit articles over there and can get back link. But i want to know your experience and knowledge about it. Is it really work to get useful back link and can we get traffic over there for our website.
Google Knol never really took off. Google does not give preference to articles on Knol so they don't usually rank terribly well in organic results.
Submitting articles really helps to get niche related backlinks and those are counted as valubale backlinks by google. I had got success in increasing SERP for my sites.
The links are nofollow, and whenever I've looked at it, it seems to be populated by people who have English as their fifth language. Mark it down as one of Google's failures. I think it'll just disappear without announcement in the not so distant future.
The links on my knol are do follow but pointing to sources if that helps. I suspect they are no follow for a bit. I seem to recall mine were no follow for a while but I am not sure at this point. I plan on sticking a link to my site in it when I finally bother to redo my internal stuff Nigel
