Google Knol Lives On!

    I was surprised to see a nice editorial by CNET on the Knol project here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10150032-2.html

    What surprised me was the authors nice comment about my Knol on "bass fishing" towards the end of the article. He's got good taste ;)

    Cnet is still talking about Google Knol? I wonder how Google bribed them to do that - that thing died pretty quickly, at least, I haven't heard anything about it in ages. But congrats on the article mention ;)

    I know a couple of people who have had some minor success with Knol, but not as much as you'd think. I think people automatically expected Knols to rank high because the site was owned by Google, and that just isn't the case. I almost never see Knols ranking on the first page.

    I think Google is trying to build Wikipedia kind of stuff with Google Knol
