Google have released a new addition to their empire . its called google Knol , it seems the same idea as wikipedia , but run by google .

Do you think knol will be soon added to the google SEO algorithm ?

They opened it for submissions about a year ago. It's no rival to wikipedia, looks more like a third rate article site, and it's all nofollow, so has no seo value.

Yeha the traffic is quite poor from it. Google are trying to take over the internet, but I think it's god that there are other software providers out there doing their own thing. Wikipedia will be hard to beat.

    I never knew about this!

So is it not any good.... you can send a link back to your site which isn't no follow.

Is it a little bit like Orkut... quite good but no ones heard of it?

Wikipedia is also nofollow but gives good traffic to your website
If google Knol is the same, will be very good

As other posters said, it has been open for some time now and has little value to be honest. Many other article sites out there you can gain good links from and i really do not see why one would use Knol currently.

Don't really think it will affect our websites ranking in any way, it's only good for Google them self's ;)

Dunno if it's good but I'm still gonna use it, just in case if it has any influence.
