    I think the problem was that you had to pay to get answers, and often had to pay a decent amount. Most people who use the web for answers are looking for simple answers to which something like Yahoo Answers is well suited.

    I am quite a fan of Yahoo's answers. I have never used Googl'e. Ididn't even know it existed.

    I bet the Google Accelerator will be next. Some of things they offer on LABS doesn't fit their model.

    I think it's just contrary to their whole nature, of empowering people to find the info they need (for free)
