Surprisingly enough, Google is on its way to completely delisting SEOChat.com from its index.

    site:forums.seochat.com shows no results.

    site:www.seochat.com shows no results.

They are baffled to the bone and needs your help… Hehe… :D

    Weird, I see everything normal...

But it would be good to see them kicked out... maybe that will bring their stupid admins back to earth and get rid of the ads splattered all over the place

I have started learning SEO for seochat.com. It was having PR6 in Jan-Feb 2005. In next PR update it got PR8. But in next update...it lost PR8 and come back on PR6.

    Now, it is PR7.

I was very found of seochat.com, but slowly my craze lost. I don't like its style, ads, article showing way, seo tools.

The traffic there is also going bit down, people seems to not taking interest in seochat.

I agree with both of you.

The ad thing is really a problem.... The pages just take way too long to load ---- I learned alot there too and used to be one of the main members.... I really do not go on there any more.... It's a terrible thing....

Just talking about forums success and failure.

    Why seochat forums failure?

    • Lots of Ads
    • Style and presentation
    • Heavy
    • No unique idea

What is the secret of DigitalPoint forums success?

    • Recent forum topic list in Keyword suggestion tool
    • Co-op Advertising Network
    • Simple, No Ads, Good Look, fast
    • Adsense revenew sharing

    or What?

Ouch... Since DPF gets about 60% of its traffic from Google, this might well piss off their advertisers enough to be the end... Nicely tying in with Yfs1's post I just read.

Just noticed it was mentioned already: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=62428

They are still calling it "flux"....Ownership knows very little about SEO over there and you could see this coming a mile away.

Interesting stuff. The BigDaddy DC's are the one's deindexing... a sign of things to come for them.

A lot of people on seochat are analyzing the pages and talking about over use of nofollow links etc. It seems that the people posting have little confidence in the people who do the design work.

I was laughing when somebody said "hey why do my signature links have nofollow" and started talking about sneaky tactics or something.

They are just doing what they are told...The no follow thing was a ridiculous option based on really bad SEO.

There are also a lot more similar things going on.

Yeah, I read that this morning.

Picking one page at random there are literally hundreds of nofollow links on the page. I am not going to bother trying to figure out what they have done wrong (if anything) but if you try and use any dubious practices in seo then you may get burned.
