Hello, I would like to have soma feedback or clues on how properly use Google Keywords Tool.

The main question I have is:

When searching on Google Keyword Tool for Keywords for a specific website, or word itself, which are the results that could bring me the best results?

    Should I focus on:

    1 - Higher Competition
    2 - Global Monthly Searches
    3 - Local Monthly Searches

Help me using this tool the best way possible.

    Many thks,
    Mário

Select the keywords which are most suitable for site, also keep in mind that which keyword have highest or higher search volume. If you want to list your site locally then consider local monthly search volume and if you want to list your site globally then consider global monthly search volume.

Thank you for the replies, however one question comes to my mind. Is there any "trick" to connect in a certain way Competition Values with Global Search for example? To get better results?

For example: choosing words with low competition and high global searches values. Is this a good practice?

When I mean "trick" I was talking about the fact of choosing Low Competition Words with Higher Searches.

Another think, how effective is to use this tool? I mean, by using it and inserting those keywords can give you in a long term better results on search? Is this the correct and best method to find good keywords?

If your site is only focusing on local market, then you actually can ignore the Global Search.

Each of the three factors effects how good/bad a keyword is. Unless your targeting a local market, you don't need to worry about local searches.

Yes, but I do need to focus also on local searches for some websites. I have already understand how to use it. My doubt at the moment is another. Does this tool really gives you the best search terms for a website? Are there any other tools that eventually generate better results? I mean, is this a must have tool and be the one to always look to get my keywords for a website?
