Google keyword tool will shortly be replaced by keyword planner. I have been playing around with this new tool and feel that this gives us more clearer picture of how does a keyword perform for a specific period of time. One thing that confuses me is, either I select exact match or broad searches, the keyword search count remains same. It seems to me that even though we select exact match search, it still shows broad searches per month. What do you say about it? let's discuss
and to use this "keyword planner" you should have to signup in Google/Gmail etc. A good step to increase google users.
I do not agree with you because Google doesn't need to use any trick to increase users base. They're alreay have plenty of em and people itself want to get involved with Google.
I not yet checked this new tool but I think this will be positive, usually they will improve their existing tools, and I think keyword research is one of their most important part in their core business.
They have just made changes in the user interface and included a graph.. Like it used to show every results of every month . Now they have given a graph for that, on page Honestly i didn't like the new keyword planner . Google should seriously revert it back. i will upload some images of keyword planner
How to see the list of keywords in this tool, I'm not able to see the keywords but all the data, like graph, cpc, searches etc... When you point your mouse at first columns then you can see is there any other option?
The Keyword Planner automatically shows exact searches per month, according to them. -- https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3141229?hl=en I haven't found any discrepancy really. In the old keyword tool, [plumbers Denver] -- exact -- gets 590 searches in the United States and plumbers Denver -- broad -- gets 12,100 searches in the United States. The new Keyword Planner shows plumbers Denver -- simply entered as is -- as 880 searches per month. So that's obviously closer to the exact match volume in the old keyword tool when the latter is set to exact. The slight discrepancy between the old keyword tool on exact and the Keyword Planner just showing default exacts, is that the Keyword Planner takes into account searches from all devices, whereas the old keyword tool just shows desktop unless you select mobile, etc.
