Keyword Tracker is a Digitalpoint product so your question is out of context since Google Keyword, NicheBot and SEO Book Keyword Tool are products to be discussed in the Google's forum, not here

I really wish the google keyword tool would be accurate... but I am also very skeptical about the huge difference in the numbers

    I found this post:

Stupid question here, but for the same phrase settings in the same geo areas why does the Ext KW Tool show such over-inflated numbers compared to the Adwords traffic tool, for exactly the same parameters .

Here is an example of what I am talking about:

I am researching "make money online " in a certain country and the figures i get are 8100 searches per month @$3.32 av cpc . Now when i go into adwords traffic estimator that same phrase shows an estimate of 3 clicks per day (90 pm ) at @$0.98 for pos 1-3, if I want to run a campaign as an advertiser and this is even before I star tweaking my landing pages

Can you explain why these figures are so far apart ? Im concerned because we base so much of our predictive / expected traffic on the Ext KW Tool

The google tool is great for to find local search volume and other related search terms but when it comes to being accurate I do not think it is compared to the other tools. Download SEO book tool bar for your browser you then can type in a keyword and hit search and it will bring up all these keyword tools if you choose :

    SEO book keyword suggestion tool
google search - based keyword tool
    Adwords traffic estimator
    Adwords keyword tool
    google trends
    google insights for search
    google suggest
    yahoo search results
    wordtracker free keywords
    wordtraker keyword questions
    keyword discovery search term suggestion
    quintura
    KW density
    KW list generator
    KW list cleaner
    KW typo generator

you then can check how accurate each tool is and compare each one to one another, I personally use the SEO book keyword tool the most but still does not give you as many suggestions as the adwords tool.

another great tool to use is http://adlab.microsoft.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/ it is not a keyword tool, but you can type in a keyword and it will tell you the commercial intention of that keyword. So basically the higher the percentage the more likely that person will be to buy using that keyword, this is also great for when doing pay per click.

Hi, I'm new and have just kinda been sitting back and reading through some of the thread posts. You guys really know quite abit. I feel slightly inadequate. I know what keywords are to a point, and I know Google tracks them. I don't know exactly how it's done. How do you choose strong keywords? Can you have too many keywords? Thanks

This is something that people outside of Google try to figure out on a daily basis. ;)
