A question about Google AdWords Keyword Tool: Some keywords showing Local Search Volume > Global Monthly Search Volume Any reason behind this?
There are 2 reasons for this. The easiest reason for this is seasonality of the keyword. If you are doing a diet keyword in january its likely to get more searches than the monthly average. the second is if you are in a country that searches more than others. could generate more searches local than global
I think it has something to do with the popularity of the keyword. If a keyword is more popular in the US (default in Google Adwords Tool) than globally then it gives a larger search volume.
Hi i think the keywords are showing local monthly search more then Global monthly search because these keywords may be searched more and more locally (more popular locally) then searching globally (Less popular Globally) this only the reason behind this question.
I also notice myself that when I research specific keywords, it seems that local always have huge numbers than global. It really depends on the latest trends today and the topics or products being talked about by people in different areas.
