Hi, i'm a beginner in internet marketing and SEO. I would like to ask about google keyword tool. I'd searched a certain keyword last month and google keyword tool gived 1,200,000 searched result. I had bought a domain for that keyword but unfortunately, this month google keyword tool gived me only 390 searched result. How can this thing be happen and what is the logical explanation? Could anyone here explain this matter please.
1st-Possibly the search tool was set for "Broad" search initially, and set at "Exact" the next time, this would show a huge difference. I've done this a few times, first place to check is the search settings, left upper corner. 2nd - possibly spelled different between searches, sometimes as a simple as "keyword" , or "keywords" ...-done this also, your eye may not catch this right away... 2 quick things to check, hope that helps...
Google Keyword tools gives me around +- 20% exact traffic for a given keyword term. I only search exact and local keyword terms...
GKT can't be 100% reliable, it just gives you a rough estimate. This is where you skill and intuition as a seo-specialist comes in to be able to sort out the data and choose the best variant.
I have used the Google keyword tool for several years and love it. You just have to remember it is a TOOL and not a ticket to wealth.
Google Keyword Research Tool is the most reliable keyword research online. Everything else is based on their data. But this being said - nothing online is 100% accurate. Absolutely nothing.
Maxminzer is correct. Most keyword research and seo tools get their data from Google/Google keywords so you are sure that the estimate this tool gives you is as accurate as possible. Note that I said "estimate", because that is what the results are. They are estimate of a keyword/s global monthly searches. Make sure to check the settings prior to running a search as this greatly affects the results.
Well, nothing in terms of finding keywords is 100% accurate. As an example I targeted a keyword that had just 73 exact visitors per month and my site is getting much more than that. Just to mention the site is not even on the #1 spot. It's somewhere about #11.
That tool is WAY off. I have a site that ranks number one 24/7 for a certain keyword and it only gets maybe 3% of the traffic that the tools says is being searched. Not even close pal.
Irrespective of which keyword tool you use, they are only an estimate some more accurate than others. Google being one the more accurate of course.
I've done an analysis of the Google keyword search and found that these are not 100% reliable. That could be used to approximate idea of the keyword, but are not 100% true that when I'm looking for the name of my site says there are 1,000 monthly searches on the keyword I beat Google, but there was only 8 or 9 visitors a month with keywords, which are unreliable.
Since google has all the information on users search patterns why cant they make this tool more accurate?
You'll get the most accurate data from Google....not that it is 100%. I had somebody from Wordtracker answer me in a forum a year or so ago about how they calculate their data....And basically they base the Search Volume estimates off of data from Meta Crawler and Dogpile, two ancient search engines that make of %1 of search. So if you want to make decisions based off that... As mentioned that was a year ago so things could have changes.
I have wrote for google keyword not describe the perfect number of visitor but if we work for google search engine so try to google ad-word key tool for searching new keyword..
I've only ever found a few rare instances where the exact match keyword I found didn't equate to the traffic I should have been receiving (I got a ton more than expected )
There are many different tools out there that are used to determine the best keywords for your site as well as judge their competition and monthly searches. These tools are built keeping in mind different factors so a difference in the results can be expected. No tool is perfect and no tool is worthless. It pays off if you listen to the results of every tool. As Google Tool is by Google and you would want to rank in it so I think that you should listen to what tool has to say. I do.
