    Hello,

    It seems that the adwords monthly traffic tool is a great one for keyword research.

    does anyone know of a website that allows you to check multiple keywords at once using this google adwords tool?

    thanks

    This is just out of the oven, and one of the best SEO tools on the internet. If you want to learn about it before you check into it go to YouTube and type in "market samurai" This tool has helped me so much it's crazy. If you want to go to the website go to Google and type in "market samurai" You will

    * Receive Accurate, Up-To-Date Data on Keyword Traffic
    * Target Profitable Markets with Pin-Point Accuracy
    * Uncover Previously-Undiscovered Niche Marketing Goldmines
    * Perform In-Depth Analysis on Markets and Niches
    * Discover the Specific Keywords Used by Your Customers
    * Avoid the Time-Consuming "Grunt-Work" of Market Research
    * Avoid Tyre-Kickers by Laser-Targeting "Buy" Keywords
    * And Much, Much More!

    It's Killer...It's so new that some of the parts are still being programmed, but you still can use it for 30 days or something. If you want to learn a bunch of SEO skills that are totally free, sign up with the site on there that says "Sign Up Now" which again is totally free, and you won't be disappointed. I really cant explain how these guys have helped me to use there knowledge to make money.

    http://trends.google.com

    Now, this won't let you run multiple queries on the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, however you can run one query to get the average search volume and then use Trends to compare other keywords along side it, this allows you to pull all the keywords that might be useful based on the data from the original keyword.

    To date I have not found an accurate search volume tool, but I usually do one of the following.

    1) Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

    Input all the keywords you want data for > click filter options > tick the "Don't show ideas for new keywords. I only want to see data about the keywords I entered."

    This should be accurate since the data comes straight from google but the stats are worlwide stats, not tailored to just one country.

    2) Go to Google's Traffic estimator tool

    Type in your keywords enclosing them all in square brackets. Enter nothing in the budget boxes, choose your targeted country.

    This gives you estimates for likely num of clicks an advert will recieve. But you can still scale this number up to get an idea of actual searches. I've found this to be useful for a quick glimpse on a target region, but it has never been very accurate.

    3) Actually setup an adwords campaign with your keywords on exact match. Bid enough so you appear on the first page, but not enough that you end up ranking high and getting clicks.. also try not to draw to much attention with your advert. Make sure you put your campaign on accelerated mode. After a few days you'll see how many impressions each keyword recieved, this is the actual amount of searches those keywords recieved in the days your campaign was running. This is by far the most accurate method of measuring searches performed, however it will take a few days to gather a sample and you may find you get a click or 2 that you'll have to pay for.

    You do have to bid enough to actual place on the first page of that specific keyword\phrase every single time... which includes a proper quality score. You only get impressions when your ad is shown and it's not shown on the first page every single time regardless what you do. You can test this yourself by searching a competitive keyword over and over again.

    So, this isn't going to give an "actual" number as your saying, but a rough estimate which will be around the same data as shown in Adwords Keyword Tool minus the cost of spending anything. ;)

    I did think about my wording and thought someone might pick me up for it.

    I did say you'd have to bid enough to appear on the first page.

    When you turn on accelerated mode you appear almost every time. So it's pretty close to actual searches.

    Your quality score has to be OK not great. Most sites and ads will get an OK.

    But yeah.. forgive me, I did say 'actual' when in fact it's not actual but it is very close, provided you've passed all the requirements mentioned.

    Ya, I had to before some poor guy SEO dumped in a ton of money into adwords checking 1000+ keywords :D

    OT: Check the post where you talked about using "site:" for checking penalties.

    Google tool is fine but is very limited. If you are serious about making money and/or ranking high I would look into Market Samurai or other paid tools that will give you a great ROI.
