Google Keyword Ranking (SEO)

Hi Digital Point community,

I would sincerely appreciate if anyone could share tips on how to improve rankings of target keywords. Surprisingly, some of our organic Keywords (with high keyword difficulty) e.g. 'Top Facilities Management Companies in Singapore' are ranking higher than our target keywords. e.g. 'CMMS Software', 'Facility management software', 'Facility management system'.

We used the same method which is writing listicles to hope to achieve high rankings for our long tail keywords. However, it works for some long tail keywords (e.g. 'Top Facilities Management Companies in Singapore') but not the others ('Top Facilities Management Softwares in Singapore').

All advice and feedback are welcomed. (Including how to improve rankings for short tail keywords)

May be you need to change on page and body contents according to targeted keywords. As you are saying for long tail keywords ... So its seems like your on page contents and body contents is mentioning about companies not about software and thats why its not showing with "Software".

There can be many factors and we need to check your website also to let you know in details.

 

congrats, at least you're ranking n getting traffic.
practical ideas you can do is:
#1 link from your 'ranking' posts right now to your 'main post/ content' you wanna rank, interlink that with the anchor text/ hyperlink using the target kw.
#2 try to update your 'target post' you wanna rank for shorter term kw, updating it meaning adding new fresh 100 words of content, adding new image, etc.
