Google Keyword Ranking Experiment

Ok, Update:

My page has now been reindexed in google at.... 80'th position!

While one of my articles is ranked 12'th!

Can anyone explain how google thinks an article is a better fit than the site it is linking to?

 

Is that article on a article directory site? If yes, then that article directory site is much older then yours and most likely has more authority then yours. Just be patient, experiments like yours should last months (2-3 probably) even with that few competitor sites since your site is brand new. It will continue to dance through the SERPs, then it will stop and show you the ranking that your site really has.

 

Update..

After the google dance settled my page is now ranking very well on 5'th position on first page of google! I see traffic already!

So I would conclude, this strategy is actually usefull for less competetive keywords.

 

Wait for a few more days, as the SERP's tend to fluctuate like a yo-yo for new sites, unless there is virtually no other competition!

 

to what social bookmarking sites you submitted?

 

I submitted to the big ones in Social Marker, but next time I will probaby only do a few. I am 90% sure my page got delisted for bookmarking to many to fast.
