Google Just Rank One Image From My site on the first result

Hi Guys,

Recently, Google just rank one of the image from my site for number 1 in the google image search.

That keyword has around 25k searches monthly. But since people normally looking at the picture and do not stay that longer on my site.

Is there any good legit way to earn from such a traffic? That would be around 800 hits daily for that google image.

Yes, it is legal, search engine traffic is good even it is from image search

 

You could try doing some type of pop-up or pop-under ad, but it may be bad for the seo of your site. One thing you could try is to promote things that those searches might be looking for...ie clipart related to that graphic, stock photography, or other services related to that graphic. There are a lot of different affiliate programs that you could try. If you think others may be copying the image from your site to their's, you could at least add a watermark to get a bit of traffic back.

 

Watermark is a good idea. But i think i should not do any changes to the photo itself now, this might drop my image ranking.

 

Go ahead and add a watermark on your image file, then wait till it gets reindexed

One more thing, you could use iframe breaker script and your visitors will remain in your site rather than viewing the full size image

 

iframe breaker script is a very good idea. I will try it. Btw, i hv added pop under ads. I think it will scare away my visitors.

Since 95% of image traffic is to steal your image having a watermark will at least help your URL get noticed.

 

Well, watermark is great... but watermarking a picture will need me to wait for that post to be reindexed again.. and maybe i do not score for the same position anymore.

Maybe for other images.

 

Give some catchy phrase on top of that image like "Click here for more related image like this..." or anything that is catchy to invite visitors to browse more to your site.

Yes, i wont do that. Now the event that my image is scoring is over. So i get lesser searches now.. well, still get 1k plus visitors for that images.
