I seen banner ads for smiley sites come up at least 5 times today, just keep surfing the threads and you will see them.

OK if josh clear a check for over $200 within the next month from his smiley site, then you may have a point, but I dont see whenre the moneywould come from...what are you selling?

 

Don't worry about Josh, if you had his future you would be fine, tell us about your problems so we can help you.

You see the forums, start a thread once in a while and tell us about what you are trying to do instead of following Josh's every step.

Like any other web page, you need a lot of traffic to make money off of ads, since Josh lost his Adsense account it will be harder for him, but with his talent he will find more partners like Yahoo or TargetPoint to work with.

 

With the right promotion and timing, you can make a fortune with anything: Stupid Pet Tricks, Pet Rocks, Hula Hoops, Rubix Cube, Cabbage Patch Dolls (they're back!), knives that cut through shoes... you name it.

 

Exactly, some of the wacky threads here get the most views why Because people want stress relief from the daily grind and want to laugh a bit.

You can't always focus the mind on work, so goofy stuff has a great attraction to humans who are.....humans, they like to laugh and have fun

 

Yeah, im not too worried about the bandwidth on this one.. so far only used about 60MB this month. I use that in a few minutes on some of my larger sites

How in the hell can someone say a website can't make money. If he get's enough traffic, than he can (if it's targeted right, don't get me wrong). The problem is getting enough traffic, though it's allways possible. I can understand the doubt, there are many websites like that to compete with, but it can be done. A normal PPC or CPM program with enough traffic will make a smiley website enough money.

 

Everything is going to be alright guys, TooSlowBro just likes to pick on Josh for some reason, if he was smart he would try to patch things up and I am sure he will

 

Every site doesn't have to be a money maker either. It IS possible that some people still make and maintain sites simply because it's fun.

hehe ... not saying it doesn't but I see it everywhere. They have a major Google adsense campaign going as well. Good or bad, there is no doubt they are making dough from it

That's why you see them everywhere, the pay you 70 cents per install.

 

absolutely, people love their smileys, that's what sells the other things they advertise

 

Maybe ill make a smiley site...shouldnt be to hard getting 100 or so smilies.
