haha ... peacemaker AC, who woulda thought hey josh, you have it within you to start long threads ... any publicity is good....that is a more lucrative talent then coding ...
Talking about me? I'll give you a one-line crash course in 1) pleasing hundreds of people 2) creating an instantly busy blog and 3) getting tons of green rep votes again. Here it comes: Co-op FAQ Maybe that and anoter half a dozen of the sites I'm responsible for (which turn over over a million pounds per year) is the reason I'm not posting in my personal blog every day. I noticed some improvement in your posts actually and was pleasantly surprised but your negativity and lack of a few other things seem deep-routed. Funny thing is, I got more positive votes for having a go at you than for anything else I ever posted before. You must be down deep in the red.
BTW Josh, you made into my new Blog http://co-op-faq.blogspot.com/2005/03/welcome-to-your-new-best-friend-d.html
josh is cool and 20 years from now I hope I will be doing some business with him one of the most successful web developers on earth got me started when he was 17 ... that was 4 yrs ago. I know talent when I see it ...
Why is it that Anthony still doesn't have a sig if red doesn't mean no sig or live links anymore. I think you should start a "Give Me Back my Sig" thread anthony.
Long no kidding This thread has the most replies, and third most views of any in the website review section Heh.. /me is still working to make sure I have all these stupid injections fixed o.o Josh
TooSlowBro, Josh is a can't miss, you better start thinking about the rest of us, we are the one's that need help and prayer
I highly doubt most people would actually be sticking around on his site and clicking on any ads. The majority of the viewers would probably be people who've had this done to them. Because of that maybe you could just use a CPM program, since I'm sure eventually it will be getting a lot of hits.
Well, what I was thinking.. is using Adsense for search, that would have been awesome. They get the google search, and the sponsored ads are mine. Josh
Hey Josh, Do you have any stats for smileyville you would like to share (not financial ones just number of hits etc.)? Ive linked to it on a bunch of my sites and know there are quite a few people using it. Are you getting good growth on that site?
Since Adsense kicked you off, try joining another PPC program such as at Clicksor.com which is very similar to Adsense.
great concept for the site! looking good too. i would also examine a referrer string so that you can extract the server and say something like: "folks at forums.digitalpoint.com are right: you do need to google it before asking stupid question like that"
Thats a neat idea, I'll try that yfs1, I am getting about 15-20 unique a day on smileyville, not much. Josh
This is great! I'm posting it on a professional board that I'm on .... I hope the board members think it's funny ... I do. Thanks for the entertainment.
Kerry, I dont think you can expect much growth or profit from a smiley site..lol Strictly for non profit...
I don't know TooSlowBro, I have been seeing banner ads on Digital Point all day for the same smiley sites.
