I can see TOPS being the next Compar as he gets older. He'll be putting people in their place left right and centre. ;)

I hope those results won't propagate to the other servers... In one of my major keywords i've lost about 10 places in that server :(

They tend to do that right before an update... they will use old data until the new data has gone live. Not sure, but maybe they are applying different test filters to what they have just updated...

Tops is right. That's why it's called a Dance.

I just want a backlink update, that's all. Who cares about PR. If google starts seeing my backlinks i've been setting up, then I know I'm on track with the keywords I optimize for.

I noted this Friday or Saturday in one DS in another forum, then Noted propagation sunday/monday around 1am

I noted earlier in another forum around 4 this is now in process of rolling back.

Seems G didn't like MSN group ranking top ten for one of my primary KW...ok that was joke but is rolling back.

    Cheers

I hope so. Since Dec 17 my 8 mo old site has fallen from #36 to #56 to #76 and now to #130.

I've done nothing to it in 2 months now. No new links, no content changes... nothing. It's a nice clean site that GG has slammed. And it really ticks me off because of the top 10 sites, at least three have mirrors, hidden text, and more.

I've played by the rules, and yet I get burned.

mirrors and hidden text, oh my...

Google actually encourages reporting of such incidents, but I didn't say that. Nor do I participate (pass the peyote please).

Looks like G is now using site:http://www..... format.

    site:yourdomain.com still works for some.

I can't see the connection between my post and the meaning of that proverb.

If only people put half as much time into writing quality content that deserves a place on the internet instead of fearing the next so-called update, the www would be a lot better place to be. And SE's wouldn't have to go to such extreme measures to create order out of the chaos of information.

It does give everyone else an advantage when they are all sitting waiting for the next update, because while they are talking about the update other SEO's are getting more links etc.
