I found a 728x90 banner ads on a forum where the title only was clickable, the description and the url were only text... What do you think about this ? For myself i hope google will make clickable all text areas including the description.
In my opinion this is better from google only title and url r clickeble because that reduce significantly the accident clicks and a reduction on invalid clicks I am with google, only title and url r clickeble, that is good for the advertizers and good for the publishers as well
I've noticed that too. Just imagine how much difference they can notice in the number of clicks and what difference that will make .
No - only the title is now clickable. This to me doesn't make sense, as if I see a url on a page, I expect it to be clickable - I can see this perhaps losing legitimate clicks.
Yes, only the title is now clickable. Its a good move from google's end but resulting in low CTR for publishers.
Read the link to the Adsense blogspot posted a few messages up the thread. Google says: Continuing these improvements, we've just changed our text ads slightly to help reduce accidental clicks. In the past, users could click on both the background and full text of an ad, but now they can click only on the title and URL of a text ad. It's working properly on my sites. Perhaps G is still implementing the change.
All of my sites that use adsense, now have this feature Only the Title AND the url are clickable Haven't noticed any change in ctr
I switched to text link ads on some pages to try and counter act the low ctr effects from this new change so far its been a good stratagy
i have seen some ads like that... on the same page as ads where both lines were clickable; both sets of ads had 3 lines of text total. as an aside, not all ads have the url in 'em, so only the title text would be clickable in that case.
