    RANKED FIFTH!

NOW, Moogade EVEN OUTRANKS MY ORIGINAL CONTENT!

Image #6 - My stolen content at http://clixor.blogspot.com/2008/07/google-adwords-adsense-relations.html
This guy links to me - OK.

Image #18 - My stolen content at http://internetmoneysecrets.net/date/2007/11/
    Again. WITH NO ATTRIBUTION.

    Here is my question -

Why should I continue to play the Google/Adwords/AdSense game,
when Google encourages and supports content theft? The only thing that makes this whole system work, is Google keeping track of ORIGINAL CONTENT. If they can't do this any more, the game is going to go straight to He|| very fast.

Google can't read images so what can they really do?

They are just a search engine, they do all they can to stop people stealing

I don't think Google is doing that on purpose. There isn't a person sitting at a big computer monitor selecting pictures for Google Images. Some sort of automated process does it, and Google doesn't promote this..When you search for how to content theft on Google it isn't supporting that.

Please read original post. These two comments are completely irrelevant.

OP...have you filed a copyright complaint with Google? The only one that is a bit strange is the one in position 1 since presumably it would have come online AFTER yours (yet got higher rank) Have you checked overall stature of your site vs the marketing one?

Of course, they are not "doing it on purpose". But it is still them.
Their system is doing it. Does that make it any more acceptable? Because the machine is stupid? NO. It's a big frikkin problem.
Copied content is ranked above original content. Thieves prevail. Who thinks that's good? I see pandemonium down the road, as more and more starving hordes claw for scraps, by doing anything and everything they can. Just mix and match - some text from here mixed with some text from there, and a graphic from somewhere else. Presto! New content!

Don't get me wrong. I think that Google has done an excellent job of keeping things straight in the past. But I also believe that it is a losing battle. I like creating. I do NOT like chasing.

So google can see what is inside a image then? Can it see through walls as well?

To OP you need to send a few complaint to google and the website owners!

Are the sites hotlinking? If they are then change the image ti something stupid

You should of water marked your pictures better. I agree with you though. Its sad to see that these people stole your content and are now ranked higher than you and reaping all the rewards.

I can see that you have NO IDEA how much of my stuff is copied. I could EASILY spend all day, every day, pursuing this stuff. I don't want to. It is a frustrating PITA. I think it needs to be Google's job. They need a new kind of "thing" that can cope with this. And they need to do some heavy-handed executions.

Google can't read images. They go by alt info, and maybe the name. But to
actually see it? No. Obviously using images of the stolen content, somehow this
    got mixed up.

Now as far as stolen content, how does google know it is stolen?
    Just asking.

I guess this deals a final blow to the myth about duplicate content and also
the myth about publishing it first.

Bad situation as far as I would be concerned. After a few obvious things
to do, it's really left to wind. Yeah, I'd be ticked myself.

I don't know if google ever kept track of the first. When I do news searches,
many newspapers come up with an exact reuters news story, but the reuters
site comes up like #8. I've even seen blogs with exact news stories come
    up first.

Have you contacted them? They do like to know about this stuff.

Google is far from perfect, and hard to understand sometimes.

I don't think I can rely on them to do anything - I am but one of thousands. They need a "scalable" solution, as opposed to hand action.
Besides, this is one of the top two forums, and I have no doubt that a few Googlers read this every day.

I am going to study and try many of the excellent suggestions given above. It is harder for me, since I am not a programmer. But I can sure do some of the stuff.

AdSense should really consider a "country block" option. It may even end up resulting in more money for them, by reducing the cesspool problem mentioned by their CEO. This takes a lot of maintenance. Let the publishers help to eliminate the riff-raff problems.

If you want to really prevent the issue in the future you could hire those photo hunter companies that BettyImages & iStock use. They spider web for images and try to catch people who have copied your images. You can get them to even send "pay fee or get sued" letters to people.

Wannabie - Thanks for the link to Lori. She does a great job of listing the steps of what to do.

HOWEVER, she does highlight the fact that it is a LOT of work, just for one offender. Imagine doing all those steps for EACH violator. And I have many. I just don't want to spend my time that way.

I'm 66 now - my SS payments will kick in soon. Then, I won't have to be such a wh0re, sucking up to all the requirements of the web. I want to do more fun stuff, rather than chasing after idiots and a$$h0les. Live is short. If Google can't help me out here, then to he|| with it. I will just put everything on automatic (do nothing), and let it all slide downhill. There are other things to do.
