Hi friends, am really disappointed..very much..from days am doing link creation and letting out jobs for backlink creation and directory submissions for the site http://www.newgenresoft.com But till now when am checking for the number of backlinks in google its showing zero..But in yahoo its showing 50... I dont know what s wrong..Please help me out..tell me the reason and good ways to get a minimum of ten backlinks displayed in google.. thanks..
Ok, its going to take longer then "days" for backlinks to show up in google. You can expect at least 6 - 12 weeks before the links show in your google webmaster tools. And about 4 - 6 weeks before the links show up using the link: command. And sometimes, links never showup. I have links out there that are 4 and 5 years old, and they have yet to show up in google.
I have experienced the same thing with Google... it takes weeks and weeks for backlinks to show up, but Yahoo and Bing seem to show them quicker in their webmaster tools for some reason.
Buddy but it have been a very long time..3 months now..yahoo and altavista are showing more than 50 backlinks..its weird that google shows zero
That's the big G for you. They will never accurately show how many backlinks you have pointing to your site. No one seems to know why... At best, you can assume that the backlinks are not showing because of some flaw in Google's algorithm. For that reason, you should always rely on Yahoo before you look to Google for the number of backlinks. Google is too big to worry about accuracy anyway. Haven't you noticed what comes up with the search results...
If Google will show all backlinks than your competitor or other people will start link building with those websites. Assuming that you got the natural backlinks from there and your competitor can start spamming that websites. This is very valid reason ... Raj
google is a alot stricter about what it indexs and makes available for users in SERPS and this is why it shows less of your links.
You'll have to wait mate, Google usually takes more time to recognize new links and benefit your website out of it's value
Hi Friend, Google detects most of the links and you can find exact number of crawled urls by signing in "Google Web Master Tools". Google don't publicize your links however Yahoo do. thanks, BloggerExpertz
if the discussion is about http://www.newgenresoft.com Google is showing 7 links. Go to google and search for links prefixing link: to your site url..or try google toolbar..
Google is not free of ristrictions to give backlinks. it has hard criteria. google will show backlinks only on thopse page who are given backlinks in google directory.
The same is the case with my blog.Actually Google doesn't show links for some reason.You will be able to check backlinks in Google Webmaster tools.It will show you all the backlinks Dofollow as well as Nofollow
What is the actual difference between this do follow and nofollow terms.? will google show the links from both of this criteria?
