Google is not evil.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing posts where it states that "Google will ban you for any possible reason, etc, etc, etc."

    They are a business.

Fact: Anyone who thinks Google randomly bans people is ignorant. To randomly ban people would increase their will to just close down their business altogether, and open up a corner store.

Fact: When they ban you, they remove their chances of a possibility that your site might become huge and bring them tons of profit. Once again, they are a business. They wouldn't care enough to make your life miserable.

Fact: They usually ban morons who don't bother reading the TOS, which is about 70% of current AdSense users. When they get banned, they start crying about the evil Google.

    Conclusion?

Read the TOS. This is nothing new, and has been said 1000's of times, but it's staggering how many don't, and then post threads like this one. When G bans you, they lose profit.

You're mostly right but then again in some cases Google is just too big to deal with the small guy.

Yeah but with out the small guy they wouldn't make the money they do. Ok there are people out there that make $2000 dollars a day but there may be only a thousand of them, but there are millions of people who make $2 a day that make tons of profit for Google.

People that don't earn that much Google can take what they want (within reason) but the bigger publishers can sort of tell Google what they want % per click. Bigger publishers in retrospect can make less money for Google. But they do bring in the big bucks.

People don't read the TOS it is clear, but with tom many bannings they do loose out. Because soon to be publishers may not sign up because of a person moaning in a forum.

They good post by the way. I may have rambled on a bit.

The Adsense network is not making Google that much money
If you take out the big fish, the profit is even less important (check out Google's financial results).

Google is strategy behind Adsense is to offer advertisers
every single type of online adds, to make Google a one stop shop and avoid competitors offering online adds that Google can not.

Anything or anyone that threatens the welfare of their advertisers will be banned, fair or not.
However 99% of people who get banned are people who did not read the TOS, but I firmly believe there is still 1% that gets banned unfairly

I doubt if they will go banning people randomly. They just won't do that.

I agree, most of the ones complaining about a ban knows why they were banned but choose to blame Google for catching them. It is like a bank robber blaming a judge for sending them to jail.

Read the TOS and follow the rules and you should be fine.

Google isnt an angel but I have to agree.. for the most part. Anyways, without Google most of us wouldn't be in business right? The pros over ride the cons any day.

I agree on both ends. Google is not out to get people but the fact is that Google is soo huge it just can't manage everything perfectly. I believe that since the bots do a lot of the groundwork for them some things just get screwed up because there is no human to actually give attention to the situation.
