These are some of the non existent pages in my directory which has been indexed by Google! The real pages should be like this http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/shopping/glasses/ http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/shopping/shoes/ http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/shopping/hats/ The url should be like this http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/computers_and_internet/graphics/ but Google indexed it as http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/shopping/hats/computers_and_internet/graphics/ there are plenty non existent pages in Google like this!
Are these URL's like these before? and oh yea, from what I see on your first quote. It looks like that it's from a search result
Its not none existent pages because they go somewhere......It looks like google indexed the pages sorted by alphabetical. I would do a nofollow on those sorting links..
if the url is no existent, why dont you do the following: In google webmaster account, there is a new option called "URL Removals". Just submit urls which you want google to remove from the index. You can also track status of the removals. Hope that helps you and everyone who is not aware of this feature. Good luck.
I just checked the links and they do lead to pages so they do exist. If you don't want them to be indexed just use a robots.txt file.
You have two option if u want that pages out of index 1) Submit google site map and check the option where u can find one which used to remove urls. go to there and submit those URL google automatically de index those urls. 2) Use robot.txt file and write those url for not to index.
According to your server they do exist. http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/shoppin...r/ThePageDoesExist/AccordingToYourServer/?s=P
This is what you need to do, you need to update (or make) your robots .txt to read like this and any other pages you do not want indexed. The next time Google index's your site, those pages you do not want indexed should be gone. User-agent: Googlebot Disallow: /?s
That won't get rid of/prevent pages like this one: http://www.jeffbrowninc.com/shopping/IcanPutAnythingHere/ItDoesntMatter/
It is indexing index.php as that page |I also had a indexer to check it out it was much better than Google It seems that there are certain problems in PHPLD's category structure I am using!
that's what I said above....use the nofollow tag to prevent Google from crawling all these weird pages... have you ever looked at DP using the SEO for Firefox Plugin....do you see a lot of links with red showing them as nofollow? That is what it is for...preventing the spiders from crawling weird pages....
