Google is giving me extra money....

    What should I do?

On the adsense overview page it says I have received 1000 page impressions and 40 clicks. When I click the top channels link to expand the view, a little quick math and i see that I have only approx 200 impressions and 5 clicks.

So 800 impressions and 35 clicks were not generated from anywhere on my website!!!

I wondering if I am required to tell Google about this (probably the right thing to do) or just let the free money keep rolling in?

I don't want to get banned for not telling them, Id rather earn the money...

    Thanks.

Those cold, heartless monsters, mistakenly giving you lots more money. It's just SICKENING. I'd be mad at them if I were you.

You should probably wait till the end of the day, to see if it just a minor bug with the updating of stats.

Wait and see what happens. Often, there is disparity between channels and overview and what have you. Everything usually come right on track eventually.

you can check your stats if you have cpanel to see who is going on your site and where its coming from. Also, it might be you did not set up channels for some sites where you put the ads on ?

That seems like the most likely possibility to me.
I've had the same ads up on the same website for 6 months now and have never seen any extra clicks

    Hope they steal more then...

Nope, don't have anything like that set up for this site.

Basically, as long as I'm not going to be banned for NOT reporting the problem I'm quite happen to leave it as is and not worry about where it's coming from...

    Have you deleted channels?

I have done - I have deleted old channels in my acct , and never updated the actual code on the page , so when those ads get clicked it just shows more money and not where it came from..

Trust me its not free money

I think you can actually used advanced reports and do report by url ,

    Jack should know this answer

It is most likely ads that you haven't created channels for.

I can guarantee that it isn't a channel problem.

    It's most likely:

1)some one copied my website content including the ads :)
2)some one is using my adsense id either by accident or on purpose (maybe they are trying to get me banned???).
3)google is messing up and paying me for someone elses clicks or has some sort bug???
