So I have finally launched my personal web site and submitted it to be indexed and on my personal site i have a section that is titled construction progress... So i recently checked the detailed reports on google and supposedly the search engine thinks my site is under construction still because it found the word construction... Anybody know why google is so worried about pages under construction?
I never heard of that before. You shouldn't have to submit either. You simply need 1 links from any website that gets crawled. You can even submit your site to Digg and it will be crawled and indexed on the same day (your homepage anyway). This week Google has been especially slow in deep pages
Yep a link will do it @OP good job your not selling contruction then fella! (like Building Construction or you would be doomed!!)
google don't crawl site's that are under constructions... because when spiders crawls your site they don' continue crawling the other pages it stop on the 404 page.
your site is under contraction so how can google crawl your site but if u give me your site URL so i will give u good reply for this
I dont think the word 'construction' appearing in your site triggers google, but what happens is that the lack of content in the form of single 'site under construction' text is what is triggering google. Think about all the other sites that are about the construction industry, builders, etc. If they could be penalized just for making the construction word appear, then it is not good right. So it is the lack of content that is causing this.
I don't think Google search engine is much bothered about "under construction" website. As there are many parked domains which are easily indexed by Google. So it is no problem with your website. If you apply for adsense then they will surely reject your application.
google categorized your site as per your keywords but if you have a large no. of brokenlinks or have more pages with similar content then it might be possible
its not that my site is under construction its the fact that i have a box on my site that is titles construction progress for where i can keep my members updated on the new features and such im working on... my site has a ton of content but im still unsure why google finds this a problem
