Google is full of spam now, and possible reasons are..

I noticed that google serps are full of spam from the beginning of the May.
Possible reasons:
1. Some google filters are down and they are working on improving these spam filters.
2. There will be a major algo update soon and they are testing things.

I actually didn't notice any vast amount of spam in the index. Which keywords are we talking about here?

 

What keywords did you find spam for? I didn't find anny spam, even while searching with keyword "spam" . If SERP results are spammy, as you stated, I don't think its something on Google's part. Rather successful SEO, may be.

 

I can't say I noticed things getting any worse in May.

 

check serps for most "loved by spammers" keywords like buy viagra etc.

 

I agree, alot of rubbish results coming up. Rather frustrating isn't it..

 

I think that is the reason why my site is dropped to the last page of search results

Yes this happens buy only sometimes , few days back we made a search for pussycat sont and result was honorable like u want my pussy come here and all other pranks . My friends was just worried than he didn't seach this in front of her sister friend because told him to down that mp3 .

for google new links and content is very important...
Spam is not important for google, they love it... actualy they promote it...

Use yahoo ore msn live if your looking for quality content.

gmail filters spam quite well, infact much better than yahoo, and if search results have some spam links, its probably because the keywords match the ones in those pages..

 

It happens occasionally, give it time. What happened is they downgraded the weight of internal links and upgraded inbound links on a geographical basis. i.e. inbound links from your sites location is becoming more valuable. Based on which data centre you are searching from, the results will change. all based on geo-loc.

 

Yes, I Guess he understood email SPAM but here peoples are talking about web spam but not Email spam in Gmail.

Hope, google will test and finish soonest if G is testing any algorithms.
