    Na, it was showing a page that said it was encountering problems and to try again in 30 second. Google logo and everything.

    It's back now I didn't think it would last that long.

    a 502 error usually means an error in the proxy gateway your connection is using, not google :)

    From last 8 years i have never seen Google going down, may be problem is with your ISP.

    How do you technically explain Google throwing a 502 for an error that is not on their side but on yours?

    That screenshot looks like a fake one and if your screenshot is genuine that isn't a problem with Google. It's a problem with your ISP.

    I seriously ROFL'd when I clicked this thread. LOL

    Those error pages are definitely genuine :) It happens once in a while. As it says "REFRESH IN 30 SECONDS" :) hahaa

    No, but displaying "sorry for not being available" from time to time.

    In last instance, if you are not hosted in Google, its downtime shouldn't be relevant :rolleyes:

    And I'm talking about google.com, not Google related services such as gmail, adsense, analytics, etc. etc.

    what you are experiencing is an issue with your ISP...Google has had 100% uptime for countless years now
