Google is crashing my servers... time to ban it?

I run a webmaster discussion forums and for last 2 months I have started getting too much traffic from Google that can't be handled a single dedicated server. It looks that I am on the top on Google SERPs for almost all the popular keywords, therefore, I am getting this much of traffic. I have upgraded the server hardware but it looks that it is still not enough. I earn almost nothing from my forums while I am spending good money running the forums. Google has become an headache for me due to the quantity of traffic he is sending. which even crashes my server sometime. I am planning to ban Google to crawl my forums...

If you can't handle actual visitors...quick, get out of the webmaster business!!! Every webmaster would love to be bombed with visitors. Try optimizing the server, like change the apache settings. Something like...

I wish some of my sites would get bombed by google. You could maybe limit the return time of the bots. Could also place text in the robots.txt to limit indexing of content.

 

You are approaching the problem the wrong way. Post the url and stats for your site and ask people to review your forum and provide suggestions on how to monetize it.

Altering the server or trying to reduce your traffic isn't the way to do it.

What kind of businessman (Or woman) you are ?? if you cant transform visitors into $$ then you should try your luck in some other business.

How much traffic do you get? how many members does your forum have? What keywords are sending you traffics?
Give me details, I perhaps buy your forum for a reasonable price.

My forums (http://www.webmastertalk.in) is getting normal traffic from google, yahoo and other search engines Actually, I was getting bored so I was dreaming that wouldn't it be great if I get too much traffic from Google that I cannot handle... so just posted here in General Chat instead of Google forums.
