Hello friendz, I am just fed up with the things that are happening around me nowadays... I have a blog which has got serp position of 6 in google.com for my main keyword when the age of the domain was 4 months and i was getting enough amount of traffic, but suddenly one day I updated it and after 2 days from updation the site moved for 276 position and i took courage and build backlinks with an average of 12 per day and after a week it came to position no.154 and again i continously built links and finally got 80 position. I didn't stop my work i continously build links and one day the home page url was disappeared and this shit was continued for the past 1.5 months and suddenly i got position no.11 in google.com and i was happy but it didnt last even foe one week it has been suddenly disppeared within a day. Now whats the problem with this? And, also all the pages in the blog has a good ranking in first page for all keywords but now it is ranging from 250-300 possitions. Anybody pls help... What could be the mistake in it....? Thanks in Advance... Your Comments are greatly Appreciated....
I think that it is because of Google Dance or Google Caffeine. Just wait more days to get your site-indexing is more established by Google. cmiiw
Hi, I don't think you are doing anything wrong, that's just the way Google works. Keep building relevant backlinks and your site will eventually hover around a certain position which is correct. Bare in mind when you were position 6, Google prioritizes new sites for a short amount of time I seem to find...
The possible reasons are :- 1. Google Dance - The continuous experimentation of Google to put the relevant site for the keyword phrase. It happens often but in your case, it's jumping quite fast. That's all. 2. May be due to the new search features like "Google Instant" (Turn it off if you want the real classic search), OR such real time search tactics recently introduced by Google. Prefer to use "www.google.com/ncr" which is the standard search page (without demographics, country targeted, or any such special things). So you can find the way as the common world sees. These are just the common possibilities but it may also be due to some algorithmic changes introduced by Google recently. You can find the video of Matt Cutts in Youtube called "Google May Day Update" where he describes about the great change they made in SE algorithm. Long tailed keywords are not going to work great as before (even though you do some SEO to get your page ranked for that keyword). He says it is more working when they rank authority pages that are closely related to that keyword even though the pages are not targeted (SEOd) for that keyword. He says it as a QUALITY WIN. So these are some of the changes that may be responsible. Anyway, continue building quality links in a uniform manner. It will do great in the coming days. Wishing you all the best.....
might be this is also due to the Google's new search engine Caffeine. Indexes much faster with the use query and gives accurate results.
Do not worry this is happen on many sites just because of recent changes done by the Google, just keep your good work and you will back.
