Hey Roman, You're right. I just got paid too with the wrong amount. I'm in Canada too and got the same incorrect exchange rate. I emailed them already but haven't got a response yet. By getting the exchange rate wrong like that, we're getting 20% less money... so I'm sure they will correct it.
Just got a response: Hello Roman, Thank you for bringing this exchange rate issue to our attention. We are currently working as quickly as we can to investigate this matter. Please be assured that we will follow up with you as soon as more information is available. We appreciate your patience.
Damn this sux, i was outraged when I saw it.. Tried calling adsense but have no clue where they even have a number.. Anyways should I report it still or do you think they'll know I have the problem?
No, someone else posted on the first page that their inverse rate resulted in 1/57th the due payment. He's from Sweden.
money in my account todays the exchange rates sucks man exchange rate for us $ to CAN $ is 0.884 : 1 wat tha shell is this
I think they may have a problem with the GBP. If they used 1.822 instead of 0.548847 then someone making $100.00 US would get 182.20 GBP instead of 54.88 GBP. Thats almost 4 times what they should be getting. Not only is google broken, it may also be broke; I am shocked that an error like this could actually slip by and reach the point where money is sent out. This should have been caught during PIP, if not earlier.
Someone should make an article and have it be a news item on the google stock. http://finance.google.com/finance?q=google&btnG=Search Idiots hehe
Just got another email. This one is not in response to my email, just one sent to everyone affected I suppose: Hello, We wish to inform you that the exchange rate used for your April payment was incorrect. We're working hard to investigate this error and will update you once we have additional details on how we intend to resolve the issue.
Woah, did I just have deja vu, or have I already read that already? Well let's hope they handle this professionally. Sounds like it was a BIG whoops.
I just got an email from google.... ...i'm from denmark, and as the swede it was waayyy off, 0.611:1 instead of 6.11:1 as it should have been. But google are on it as the email proves, i hadnt noticed it, first when i got the mail from google i checked it, and yup, way off.
This makes me like them more I think... Just think, some poor engineer is being gang banged by his co-workers right now.
Nah, the first email I posted was an direct, although canned, response to the email I sent them. The second email seems to be one they sent out on there own acknowledging the problem. All I can say is Goops
Did you receive a cheque? Sounds like you received an EFT payment. Can't see anywhere in Adsense to change payment type to EFT through Paypal or direct debit to bank account. So many questions!!
i used direct depost to my bank account (EFT) remember EFT is avalable for limited countries only the money they sent me is incorrect and here is google's response -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, We wish to inform you that the exchange rate used for your April payment was incorrect. We're working hard to investigate this error and will update you once we have additional details on how we intend to resolve the issue. If you normally receive communication for us in a language other than English, we will provide additional information in your preferred language next week. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Sincerely, The Google AdSense Team --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Come on Google! Get your act together in Australia! I would rather be paid through EFT. I hate cheques!!! Especially sending them!!
