I strongly believe someone at Google spilt something and broke it. I have further proof. Payment Type: EFT Account Nickname: Account Number: *****19 Payment Date: Apr 26, 2006 Payment Number: 4793xxxxx Amount of Payment in Local Currency CAD $88.40 Exchange Rate 0.884 : 1 Payment Amount: USD $100.00 (I did change my earnings amount, but the exchange rate is what is wrong) Obviously this error won't show on US accounts as there is no exchange. I'm from Canada, anyone else see messed up conversions?
Sweden got 0.133 instead of ~7,75. 1/57 of the correct amount. There will surely be corrections to this.
How is this possible? You mean to say they have cut more amount in exchange? iam seeing no change here - ~44INR/$
No, they messed up and instead of using the exchange rate from USD to CAD (1.12) they used CAD to USD (0.884 - the reverse) so if your currency is lower than the USD the error will have a negative effect.
email them , last time i had the same problem they did 1:1 which is not correct , they replied telling they are sorry and that to not worry because the check had the correct number ...
I'm assuming this glitch will not affect payouts so I'll wait till I get payment before sending an email. Just with all the Google junk going on, this is further proof someone, somewhere, somehow, someway broke something
Are you sure? According to your first post, the rate is correct: Amount of Payment in Local Currency CAD $100.00 ^^ $100 in CAD Exchange Rate 0.884 : 1 Payment Amount: USD $88.40 ^^ is about $88 US.... which seems correct
The rate has been reversed. I should be getting 1.12 or $112.00, not $88.00. The CAD is worth less than the USD so when converting from USD to CAD you get more.
Friday, April 28, 2006 1 US Dollar = 1.12695 Canadian Dollar 1 Canadian Dollar (CAD) = 0.88735 US Dollar (USD) Listen closely, If I earned $100.00 USD and am being paid in Canadian I should get $112.70 CAD, not $88.40 CAD. They used the wrong exchange rate.
In your original post, you put it down as if they did it correctly. The way you wrote it makes sense... they say you earned $100 in LOCAL CURRENCY (CAD) which equals $88 in US. That is exactly how you wrote it in the top post and that is the correct direction of exchange.
The top post is a cut & paste from my account. Ah, my bad, I changed the actual earnings and messed it up, but it's fixed now. Payment Type: EFT Account Nickname: Account Number: *****19 Payment Date: Apr 26, 2006 Payment Number: 4793xxxxx Amount of Payment in Local Currency CAD $88.40 Exchange Rate 0.884 : 1 Payment Amount: USD $100.00
I'm in Canada and it seems ok for me! Payment Type: Check Payment Date: Apr 26, 2006 Payment Number: ---------------- Amount of Payment in Local Currency CAD $xxxxxxxxx Exchange Rate 1.133 : 1 Payment Amount: USD $xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I have the same problem.. I just emailed support. but it's probably too late. Maybe they will send a supplemental payment?
