Yes it happens all the time when they get tired of you using

Site:whatever.com or running the same keywords in serps searching for your position..

Clean your cache and cookies ...

I had the same problem about a week ago, I did nothing no checking keywords, links or pages of a site and only used google about 5 times that day at different times.

Yet when I tried to search it kept saying it may be 'automated' and giving me that useless page, I have no idea why:confused:

It happens a lot when you make lots of queries to google. searches, site commands, links commands, in title commands etc. Usually helps to clear history and cookies, maybe restarts computer.

Other good way around it is using an online proxy like eat my browser

I also share these concerns as the issue can't be related to cache and cookies only.

Cookies and the server side are working together here.

You may want to run a malware scanner on your computer as well. Make sure the sig database is up to date. Don;t assume that it is. Actually run the updater.

If you;re on a windows pc, please give this a try:

Do you have the SEO toolbar for firefox? If so, you are guilty, because every time you load a page, the toolbar is querying google for the backlinks, PR and other factors. So with the seo toolbar on FF or any other browser that has an app like that, you can get in trouble.

    Just something to check.

I think it's just Google being stupid TBH, in my case there are no other possible factors.

I have Google Toolbar and browse regularly and never had this problem. I do occasional site commands and frequent searches as well.

I basically only bring up seotoolbar when i need it, but I still often run into times that I get temp. banned by google for search or checking cache dates

Just a be a little more careful when your checking PR and cache. That should stop it from happening again.

I had that issue earlier and Deep Scanning on my KIS 2010 solved this.
Its probably due to a malware.

Just a quick update-I was listed in google local business for 4 different geographical keywords 4 days ago and now my listing has been removed-even in the gmap 10 boxes that only have 3 other listings-this is hardly related to being accused of automated queries is it?
