Google Instant Will effect SEO

    According to Matt Cutts ....

Q: Will Google Instant change search engine optimization?
A: I think over time it might. The search results will remain the same for a query, but it’s possible that people will learn to search differently over time. For example, I was recently researching a congressperson. With Google Instant, it was more visible to me that this congressperson had proposed an energy plan, so I refined my search to learn more, and quickly found myself reading a post on the congressperson’s blog that had been on page 2 of the search results.

so how does this transalate into what we could have in mind today?

    Any suggestions?

where did u see the energy plan? from what I am seeing there will be more competition now for head terms, long tail, typos and obscure phrases are now dead.

Yeah , Google instant will change SEO.
Not now but overtime it will change SEO. With google instant people's will be searching more about current trends and the long trail keywords will get less traffic.

Yeah, it will have a huge effect on SEO. Of course, if most SEOers have realized of this change, I think we will meet a big development in this industry.

I think it will, and very soon! would you create a long 3-5 keywords search query to get better result if google will show instant results with each next word? I've made a test with my wife. She always made very strange and long-tail searches, but this time she did not. Millions of searches would now be more generic and same for millions.

SEO would be much more expensive now!

Its obviously going to focus the user on the popular keywords so less popular terms are dismissed. Might benefit the larger companies but I really can't see how it will benefit the sites on page 2 onwards. Great for users though :)

i do not think that google Instant will change seo. I think that google has just changes the display of its result it has not changes the indexing the site in its database. So website would get indexed but the result will be displayed faster...

I think when Google Instant is implemented worldwide, the effect on seo is more noticeable.
I wonder what is next. After google caffeine, we have google instant.

At very worst it will remove a bunch of people using long tail, wrong spelling and other usless searchs . it will just mean it it will be more importtant to be in top 5 and put a demand onto people with real skills. Or it will cause a shift into other forms of Internet marketing.
