Google announced the launch of their Insights product today: Google Insights Keyword Tool Just had a quick play around on it, and it's giving me some really interesting suggestions for keyword terms that I ought to be targetting in my own niches! I particularly like the breakout search terms feature - way to stay on the cutting edge of the keywords I need to target! What do the rest of you think?
WoW! Love it! http://www.google.com/insights/search/# <edit>A revelation in every search. In 15 minutes, I got the answer to several questions that have been bugging me for a long time. Many thanks, freestate. This is a winner!
It serves for Google's corporate strategy. The keywords they provide are the keywords being used by Google Adwords advertisers. This way those who will optimize those keywords are actually reaching out to Adwords advertisers.
Houston, we have a problem. One search I did resulted in CRASHING FIREFOX (ver. 2.0.0.12) Is it due to exploding demand (like what happened to Cuil)? Or is it incompatible with Firefox? I had to "force quit". Then I did a "Restore session". DON'T do that. Immediate infinite loop lock-up once again. More later. Back to testing. <edit>Works fine on Safari, and works now on Firefox. I guess it is an exploding demand problem. I am getting "Trinidad and Tobago" as the top result for many searches. I don't think that is correct. Anyone else see this? <edit2>Firefox also chokes on the "All Categories" drop-down selection menu. - It takes forever to load - The subcategories NEVER do work (they work fine in Safari). . <edit3>The subcategories now work in Firefox, albeit rather slowly. So it must be the high initial demand that is causing problems. . .
Excellent tool , gives extensive information , thanks for the actual link, surfer http://www.google.com/insights/search/#
According to the tool, AdSense interest peaked in 2007, and is headed downward. http://www.google.com/insights/search/#cat=&q=adsense The highest "Geographic Interest" is Nepal. Not a single European country is represented in the "medium" category. 1. Nepal (high) 2. Indonesia (high) 3. Malaysia (high) 4. India (medium) 5. Sri Lanka (medium) 6. Bangladesh (medium) 7. Nigeria (medium) 8. Pakistan (medium) 9. Phillipines (medium) 10. Singapore (medium) xx. Australia ? (LOW) xx. New Zealand ? (LOW) ??. United States (LOW) Looks like the US is saturated, in terms of interest in AdSense. U.S. users can expect growing foreign competition. . . The highest Geographic Interest in AdWords is India. http://www.google.com/insights/search/#cat=&q=adwords 1. India (high) 2. UK (high) 3. Ireland (high) 4. Nigeria (high) 5. Singapore (medium) 6. Sri Lanka (medium) 7. South Africa (medium) 8. Malaysia (medium) 9. Israel (medium) 10. Netherlands (medium) xx. Australia ? (medium) xx. New Zealand ? (medium) ??. United States (medium) Looks like the US is saturated, in terms of interest in AdWords. U.S. users can expect growing foreign competition. . .
That's interesting, 'cos a lot of the keywords I am looking at had India as the highest geographic interest too... I wonder whether this is genuine search traffic, or all those SEO-meisters out there running reports?!
Yeah. Ha-ha. I searched for google seo, and Firefox blew up again - "Unresponsive script" over and over again. Had to force quit again. But it worked fine again on Safari. http://google.com/insights/search/#cat=&q=google seo For google seo - 1. India (high) 2. Pakistan (high) 3. Phillipines (medium, from here down) 4. Japan 5. Indonesia 6. Romania 7. Czech Republic 8. South Africa 9. Malaysia 10. Bulgaria xx. xx. ??. United States (LOW) Now I know why I rank so high in India for certain terms - ha-ha! I need to check for U.S. searched terms, before I spend a lot more time trying to rank for them. This explains a lot. India clicks pay a fraction of US clicks. . .
My God, this is like a magical lamp. It states several aspects of your keyword and the main and important thing is that it shows Geographical Interests. For my keyword, I was surprised to know that the highest interest is found in Philippines!! Very very useful post. Repped you and rated this post too. Nice find and thanks for sharing. This keeps the sharing spirit high!
You could have added an direct insights in this post As far as insights is concerned ,this is the tool for which webmasters had been waiting and also this gives a good information for adwords advertisers also
Awesome tool, thanks Only thing that now concerns me is, that my niche is most searched in Viet Nam followed by Russian Federation.
OMG - I can't believe I left that out! Thanks for pointing out - now rectified (Obviously a little too excited about it all to be thinking clearly...)
