Google indexing of new web sites

I was wondering is it normal for google to crawl a web site of 50 pages and only index a few pages. Then crawl again a few days later and ad a few more pages to the google index. Or does google index all pages of a new site after crawling it?

At first, after crawling my entire site, Google only indexed the main page. A little while later, Google indexed the second. Weeks later, Google finally indexed the entire site. I would guess it's 'normal', although I'm not sure why it's done this way.

In my experience, G index the main page and wait a week or two before starting on the others pages.

Don't worry if your site is new and only have few pages indexed.

You build it, Gbot will come.

Its true that Google index pages one by one and not whole website at once.
