    Hi!

I submitted my website to google yesterday and I'm curious as to how long would it take to google to index my website. I searched the Google help, but I couldn't find anything.

    Do you guys know?

    Thanks in advance!!

put a link in your signature to your site and it will be index in a couple of days. Don't bother to submit your site to G, G just needs to find a link to your site and it will index it.

Submitting your site to Google is a waste of time. Just build a few backlinks and you will get indexed in no time.

It can take a very long time to wait for google to index the site that way. Adding a back link to your site (like a signature link) can get it indexed in a matter of hours.

You could also submit your website at digg.com and it will be indexed in a couple of hours.

I suggest you wait for few days. Some times, google index within 2 days, but some times it can take longer.

    Meanwhile, build backlinks.

Google will index your site within two weeks in some cases, but it takes longer time sometime. Good luck

    Answer:
    Highly variable.

Your actions can determine the result.

As it has been eluded to, putting a link to your site from a site, say built and been online since 2000 that is crawled daily, can get your site crawled and indexed in less than 24hrs.

Furthermore, getting a google webmaster account, building xml sitemaps, getting backlinks, getting site reviews, getting PAID traffic thru adwords, overture, etc, will all result in better indexing.

To sustain the index and growth of your site, you will need to engage in perpetual growth of links going to your homepage and subpages, assuming a competitive, commercial site.

New site with no backlinks can take up to 6 weeks. But usually they get indexed faster.
