Google Indexing me Very Slowly

I am having a problem with my ranking/indexing with Google. Google is only indexing my page like every 5 days. The last index was on October 16. Thus, all posts made after this data have not been included in the index, including my recent 1000 word article.

I am not sure why, my domain is not new -- its 12 years old with PR2.

However, I may be penalized for google because for the last 3 months -- my site has went from a Web Directory, to a seo site, and finally I've turned it into a Internet News site. It will be permanent -- I do not plan on changing it because I am receiving a great amount of traffic.

If I am penalized, what do I do? I can clearly state that my recent post - http://seaphire.com/2010/10/20/paybox-scam/ - has been advertised, bookmarked, and everything to try to get it indexed on Google. It used to be as easy as tweeting the link and then Google indexed the page.

What can I do to resolve this matter? What do you think is the problem? IF I am penalized, how do I know and what do I do? My web address is seaphire.com.

well, I wouldnt say that your site was penalized as I had created a new squidoo lens and after that I built around 38 SB links on it, pinged it more than 2 times and guess what, it is still not indexed (more than 6 days have passed)! I dont know what happens here but it is definitely very strange. maybe you can update your sitemap and upload it to google webmaster tools?

I've submitted my sitemap to Google already -- and the sitemap is auto. updated. Also, I have submitted my feed as a sitemap.

if you can place your page links on high traffic sites, that might help getting indexed faster.
